Philosophy of care
I believe in providing individualized support that is filled with empathy and non-judgmental atmosphere, a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your unique situation and needs. I respect and value your uniqueness, I do not discount your life experience, I recognize your past and its effect on your present, I also acknowledge you as an individual that has the power to heal the mind, the body and the soul from the past if provided with the right tool. I use a holistic model of care. I look at your body, your thinking patterns, relationships, work, finances, spiritual and cultural belief factors. I am here to be your partner and to serve you with my professional knowledge and experience.
How we start the Journey
We will spend 60 minutes on the first visit building trust and understanding around your situation and concerns. – You will get a comprehensive psychiatric assessment. – I will offer my Professional opinion about diagnosis and the best, evidence based treatment available. – We will create a treatment plan based on your goals and the areas that you would like to improve. After the initial visit, your follow-up care is usually 30 – 45 minutes during which we evaluate the ongoing treatment for effectiveness and the need for modification or change. During each visit, you are assured personalized, holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed care. I believe in a treatment philosophy that incorporates evidence-based guidelines in psychotherapy and medication management.
Treatment plan
Collaboratively, I will discuss and address your concerns, establish an appropriate treatment plan with you, and help you understand and overcome those personal obstacles that have impacted your quality of life using a comprehensive evidence-based care approach. I evaluate and treat symptoms such as those associated with mood disorders, anxiety, sleep disorders, trauma, perinatal and postnatal mental health disorders, life transition issues, and other mental health conditions.
