I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in Washington State. I have the education, clinical background, and skills necessary to treat various mental health disorders, including depression and anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD in adolescents and adults. I am passionate about comprehensive mental health services. My treatment approach is based on promoting patient safety and health outcomes while using evidence-based practice and treatment guidelines. My healthcare background involves working as a bedside registered nurse in hospital settings. Working as an RN in an addiction recovery unit inspired me to go back to school for an advanced degree in mental health practice.

My Philosophy of Care:
I believe in treating all patients with the respect and dignity they deserve. My objective is to provide mental health care that is patient-centered, non-judgmental, and without prejudice. Building rapport and creating therapeutic relationships with my patients and their families are important aspects of my mental health care delivery. I also believe high-quality mental healthcare delivery requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals to improve patients’ mental and overall health outcomes.
What to Expect from Your Appointment:
My initial appointment is aimed at getting to know each other. This will be followed by an initial evaluation of your mental health concerns. We will discuss your past and present mental health journey and address any mental health concerns that you may have. The initial appointment will take 1-1.5 hours. You should bring your past medical records, lab work, and diagnostic tests to the initial appointment.
Treatment Plan:
The treatment plan will be based on the comprehensive mental health assessment done during the initial visit. Each treatment plan is individualized based on each patient’s mental health needs. In addition to my treatment plan, you may be referred to other healthcare professionals or further diagnostic tests depending on your diagnosis and symptoms presentation. After the initial appointment and initiation of the treatment plan, you will be scheduled for a 30-45-minute follow-up appointment to evaluate the effectiveness and side effects of the treatment plan. During the follow-up appointment, the treatment plan and medications will be adjusted accordingly.
