Ken Dyer, ARNP
Hi my name is Ken Dyer. I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a doctorate in nursing practice (DNP). What that means is I am a registered nurse (RN) at an advanced practice level specializing in psychiatric mental health. I am committed to delivering the highest standard of care in mental health service by working from an evidence-based practice philosophy.
I treat patients suffering from a broad spectrum of mental health disorders across the lifespan using a holistic minded approach; I’m equally concerned with the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of my patients’ health. Some of my responsibilities include prescribing medications, assessing one’s mental health and diagnosing mental health disorders, conducting psychotherapy, and referral of patients to other facilities of care when needed.
A bit about myself: I’m a native of Arizona but have been living up in the PNW for 10 years and counting. They did warn me it tends to rain a lot, but the Summers sure are worth it! I graduated the DNP from the University of Washington, received my BSN at Arizona State University, and also hold a BA in Psychology from Northern Arizona University. Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I gained valuable experience as an RN on medical/surgical and psychiatric hospital units. My favorite pastimes are rock climbing, hiking, going out to the movies, and playing chess. Enough about me, how might I help you return to the Summer of yourself?
