REBECCA SKELLY

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Welcome

Taking the first step toward understanding your own story is an act of courage. Seeking mental health care is often the beginning of that journey, and I am honored to support you through it. You deserve a life free from the control of trauma, filled with meaningful relationships, and aligned with your most authentic self.

Experience

With over eight years of experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric hospital, I have cared for adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating mental health crises. In 2017, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since then, I have provided psychiatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including medication management for a broad range of conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use disorders.

My Approach

I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves as they heal and discover their full potential. My approach to treatment is warm, open-minded, and nonjudgmental, focusing on your unique mental, physical, and emotional needs. Together, we will explore tools and strategies to make your symptoms manageable and your goals achievable.

I believe in a collaborative approach to care, where treatment decisions are made together. As your provider, I offer medication management, brief psychotherapy techniques—including mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy—and a holistic perspective that addresses your overall well-being.

What to Expect

Your initial visit will last about one hour and will include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. If possible, please bring any past mental health records and a list of your current medications. Together, we will establish your treatment goals and develop a personalized care plan.

If you require more intensive psychotherapy, I can connect you with exceptional therapists. For those seeking alternative treatment options, we can discuss transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or esketamine therapy if appropriate. My ultimate goal is to inspire hope and help you rediscover joy in your life.

Let’s begin this journey together—reach out today.
